In celebration of Valentine’s Day The New Yorker has curated a selection of intimate portraits from photographers who have a significant body of work devoted to their husband, wife, partner, or lover.  One of artists they highlight is our own Lee Friedlander with his wife Maria in Oregon.

Artlog highlights Lee Friedlander's intimate black-and-white Nudes, a series begun in the late 70s, on view now at Pace.  The exhibit continues with Pace/MacGill’s presentation of Friedlander’s newest body of work, Mannequin, photos of storefront windows and their reflections taken in New York, L.A., and San Francisco between 2003 to 2011.  Both exhibits are on view at 32 East 57th Street until December 22, 2012.

Though Chelsea was severely impacted by the recent storm, Pace is fortunate to report that our galleries escaped major damage.

The opening of Kienholz: The Ozymandias Parade / Concept Tableaux has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 7th, to coincide with the opening of Michal Rovner: Topography at 510 West 25th Street. Please join us from 6 to 8 PM to celebrate these two exhibitions.

Pace’s gallery at 32 East 57th Street is open. Lee Friedlander: Nudes is on view from 10 AM to 6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.

We will announce the reopening of Chuck Close next week.  Please continue to check for updates.

Reblog of the day:  Our Lee Friedlander exhibit is now open to the public.  Be sure to check out his Mannequin series for this #FashionFriday.
